Albedo OnePerfect reflection

A small independent software company focused on practical desktop tools.

Albedo One builds software for people who want their important data to remain understandable, retrievable, and under their control.

Albedo is a measure of reflected light. For us, it means software that reflects your work clearly, without getting in the way.

Albedo One is small by design, not by stage.

Funded by what it sells, with no plans to change that. Its work is split across distinct products, each released under its own name, rather than folded into one oversized suite. Today it is Nest, with Guard being built and Vesper still to come.

The aim is a small number of useful things, made well and maintained carefully.

Albedo One is run by Dejan Stanojević, a software developer with more than 20 years of experience building desktop and business software.

The work is shaped by a preference for local-first tools, clear ownership of data, and software that solves real problems without becoming another system to manage.

Release cadence
When ready, not on schedule.
Product order
One product brought to a useful state before the next one takes focus.
Dependencies
Fewer, chosen more carefully.
Data
No document content collected. No data collected unless it is needed to run the product or support a purchase.
Funding
Sales only. No investors and no advertising.

Three products are in the picture right now.

Nest is a desktop app for organizing documents on Windows, available now in its first public release. Guard is being built to protect selected local folders with simple, verified snapshots. Vesper is a future local-first system for private archiving, sync, and deeper data protection, still planned. Each lives on its own site and runs its own schedule.

There may be more later; there may not. New products will appear here only when they are worth talking about.

For general company questions, the Contact page is the right place. For Nest-specific help, the Nest site has its own help section.
